Facing Fascism: New York and the Spanish Civil War, Opening in March 2007 at the Museum of the City of New York, a landmark exhibition, Facing Fascism: New York and the Spanish Civil War, will examine the city as a locus of political discourse and engagement during a critical period in world history. Through historic photographs, original documents, works of art, video presentations, and artifacts, the exhibition will tell the story of how New Yorkers from across the political spectrum responded to the crisis in Spain. Major funding for the exhibition comes from The Puffin Foundation, Ltd., and the Instituto Cervantes.
