Ragner, Albin C. (Albin Ragausky, Ragauskas, Ragauski); b. March 7, 1918, Waterbury, Connecticut; Lithuanian American; Father Charles Ragauskas from Panemune, Jurbarkas, Lithuania and born 1891, Mother Anna Ketuerikus from Lithuania, Brother Alfons, Charles changed the family name officially to Ragner in 1937 when he was naturalized; Milwaukee Technical Training School, High School, Drafting; Single; Student; YCL 1929; Received Passport# 384348 on April 5, 1937 which listed his address as 1923 (1023) South 15th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Sailed April 21, 1937 aboard the Manhattan; Arrived in Spain on May 27, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN, Estado Mayor, Transmissions, Signaler and Runner; (June 1938) Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 3; (by August 1938) Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Section Leader; Rank Cabo; Served at Brunete, Quinto, Belchite, Fuentes del Ebro, Teruel, Segura de los Baños, the Retreats and the Ebro Offensive; WIA in the right leg September 1938, Sierra Pandols; Returned to the US on December 31, 1938 aboard the President Harding; WWII Merchant Seaman on the Great Lakes; Married Claudine Halliwell  on January 3, 1942, three children Daniel H. Ragner, Allison L. Ragner, and Jonathan A. Ragner; d. April 3, 1996, Dousman, Waukesha, Wisconsin; Wrote an unpublished memoir about his service in Spain. Findagrave# 142843803
