Biography

Adler, Alexander b. July 24, 1913; 14 Months in U. S. Army, attended classes to prepare for entrance exam for West Point, failed exam and subsequently left the Army; B. S. degree; Physical education teacher; CP 1933, dropped out in 1934 and rejoined in 1935; Received Passport# 372008 on March 5, 1937 which listed his address as 197 2nd Avenue, NYC; Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Queen Mary; Arrived in Spain on March 25, 1937; In training in Tarazona was appointed group leader, requested transfer to OTS; Deserted; WWII US Army, January 8, 1941-October 11, 1946; d. April 25, 1996, Miami, Florida.
