Konefski, Ben (Konefsky; Kline); b. February 29, 1898 (alt June 27, 1898), Odessa, Russia, Naturalized April 3, 1922; Russian American; Jewish; US Army 1917 to 1920, 79th Field Artillery, and 13th Infantry, Rank Private, discharged 1920; Divorced, previously married to Elizabeth Konefski; Married Betty Burt; Painter, Construction Worker, and Maintenance Worker; Received Passport# 33451, San Francisco series, on January 31, 1938 which listed his address as 1392 Velney Drive, Los Angeles, California; Sailed for Europe aboard the Antonia; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on February 28, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co., 3; Rank Soldado; WIA by shrapnel; Declared intul and repatriated; Returned to the US on October 25, 1938 aboard the Ile de France; WWII US Army enlisted September 9, 1942, released November 1942, Private; d. May 17, 1982, Miami, Florida, buried in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Jersey.
