Rhines, Charles A. (Rhine); b. November 8, 1905, Chicago, Illinois; father Charelse H. Rhines (1869-?), mother Maggie Charrott (1869-?); Prior military service as a Pilot, US Army Air Corps, 95th Squadron, First Pursuit Group, 1921-22; Divorced, was married to Violet Hildebrand on August 31, 1923 in Lake, Indiana, they divorced on May 12, 1941, son Charles Jack Rhines (1925-1993); Pilot; IWW 1920 lapsed, rejoined 1923, at time of volunteering no political affiliation (CP 1936), Farm Labor Party; Received Passport# 4775 which listed his address as 636 E. 61st Street, Chicago, Illinois; Sailed January 28, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Wanted to fly for the Republican Air Force; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN; Serve at Jarama; Wounded in action through the hips; Repatriated political; Returned September 24, 1937 aboard the De Grasse; d. April 12, 1964, Ramsey, Minnesota, buried in Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota.
