Covadias, Christos (Costas/Cristos; Cowatsis; Covatsis, Constantine); Lived in Dijoin, Cote d’Or, France where he worked as a farmer; Greek American?; 24 years old; CP 1933; Arrived in Spain October 18, 1936, Served with the XIII BDE, Chapoff BN; Transferred March 23, 1937 to the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington Battalion; Served at Teruel in December 27, 1936, Jarama March 23, 1937, Brunete July 6, 1937, Quinto August 24, 1937, Belchite September 4, 1937, The Retreats, Belchite March 27, 1938, Alcaniz through Gandesa, and Ebro Offensive until August 27, 1938; Rank Soldado; WIA in the right foot on January 5, 1937 at Teruel with XIII BDE by a bomb; WIA again August 27, 1938; In hospital in Barcelona until September 19, then to Ripoll until October 31, 1938; Had family in New York, a cousin and uncle.
