November 10, 1910, Josipdal, Croatia (Yugoslavia), to the US in 1914; Croatian American; Emigrated to Leninsk, Russia in 1931; Studied at KUNMZ and returned to the US; Miner; CP 1931; Received Passport# 74 Moscow series on July 11, 1935 which listed his address as Powahatan Point, Ohio; Sailed February 5, 1937 aboard the Berengaria; Arrived in Spain in February 1937; Served with the XV BDE, attended OTS then to Lincoln-Washington BN, Commander MG Co. Brunete.; SIM; Later Albacete Auto Park; WIA; Rank Lieutenant; Returned to the US on January 26, 1938 aboard the Aquitania; d. January 3, 2007, Clinton Township, Macomb, Michigan.
