Burke, Edward Ellsworth (Burke, Rinsd); b. March 15 (3), 1915, Birmingham, Alabama (Woodlawn, Pennsylvania); Attended the Fairfield School for HS then college for 1 year; 2 years 3 months prior military service in the US Army; Also served with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC); Single; Student, Clerk and Journalist; CP April 1937; Received Passport# 441702 on June 14, 1937 which listed his address as 1777 Steiner Avenue, Birmingham, Alabama; Sailed June 25, 1937 aboard the Ausonia; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on July 11, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN; Rank Cabo; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. February 29, 2004.
