February 16, 1904, Braddock, Pennsylvania, 5th grade education, 1 yr. service in the US Navy, Single, Machinist, CP 1931, received passport# 427838 on May 28, 1937 which listed his address as 416 Hawkins Street, North Braddock, Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sailed June 2, 1937 aboard the Aquitania, Arrived in Spain on June 22, 1937, Served with the XV BDE, MacKenzie-Papineau BN,  sent to hospital on March 13, 1938, Returned to the US on June 18, 1938 as a work-away aboard the President Roosevelt, d. November 1971.
