Tandarich, Emil. (Steve Tandaric, Stejo; Bob Rebic); b. December 12, 1908, Kovocica, Slovakia (Zagreb or Bjelovar, Austria Hungary) (Chicago, Illinois) to US 1911; Croatian American; Father John Tandarich, mother Eva Rebic (1884-1975); 2 years High School; Single; Machinist, Welder, and Steelworker; CP November 1929, unit organizer, Spanish CP, SWOC; Emil used his brother Stanley F. Tandarich's information to obtain a passport, Stanley’s dob: May 23, 1912; Received Passport# 374048 on March 12, 1937 which listed his address as 1313 South Fields Avenue, Hammond, Indiana; Sailed March 24, 1937 aboard the Manhattan; Arrived in Spain on April 4 (24), 1937; Served in the Albacete Auto Park; Returned to the US on February 9, 1939 aboard the Queen Mary; Emil was later sent back to Yugoslavia after a long trial; d. Italy sometime after 1975.
Siblings: brother Stanley F. Tandarich (1912-2004), sisters Mary Tandarich Perrone (1916-2004), and Stephany Tandarich Markey (1919-?).
