April 16, 1905, Buffalo, New York; Single; Waiter and Counterman; CP 1933 (No party affiliation); received passport# 364116 on January 28, 1937 which listed his address as 231 East 13th Street, and 438 East 88th Street, (315 East 84th Street) both NYC; Sailed February 6, 1937 aboard the Paris; Arrived in Spain on February 17, 1937; Served with the XII BDE, Artillery in the 2nd Grupo-Skoda,  Telephonist, rank Cabo; Returned to the US on February 4, 1939 aboard the President Harding.
