Poling, mother Hattie Dewees Poling; Education through the 11th grade; Married; Farmer, Agronomist, and Driver; CP 1935; Domicile Hobart, Oklahoma and 221 W. Park Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Wilburton, Oklahoma); Sailed June 16, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on June 28, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN; WIA at Fuentes del Ebro; Rejoined BN; Captured; Rank Soldado; Exchanged April 22, 1938; Returned to the US on May 6, 1939 aboard the President Harding; WWII US Army, 4th Army, Information and Education Officer, Ft Hood, Texas, kept stateside; d. February 29, 2000, buried in Lawnview Cemetery, Cordell, Washita County, Oklahoma.
