September 7, 1911, Murray County, Minnesota; Finnish American; Father Johan Jacob Hanson (1856-1937), mother Kaisa Catherina Raisanen Hanson (1867-1950); Single; Building Worker; CP January 1936 (1935), Section Organizer; Received Passport# 364835 on February 1, 1937 which listed his address as 414 Morgan Avenue North, and 2212 Clark Street, both Minneapolis, Minnesota; Sailed February 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrived in Spain on February 18, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN(?); WIA Jarama(?); Later with the 86th BDE, 20th BN; Transferred to the Mackenzie-Papineau BN; Returned to the US on January 20, 1939 aboard the Aquitania; d. October 7, 1994, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, buried in Glen Cary Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ham Lake, Anoka County, Minnesota.
