October 24, 1898, McComb, Missouri; Prior military service in the US Navy, 21 months; Cook and Aircraft Worker; CP; Received Passport# 41X3180 on January 14, 1938 which listed his address as 136 East 13th Street, NYC; Sailed January 19, 1938 aboard the President Roosevelt; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on January 31, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Estado Mayor, initially at Tarazona as a cook later with Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 1, later as Brigade Postman; Rank Soldado; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. April 1973, Los Angeles, California, buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California.
