October 1, 1896, Kossaw, Russia (Now Poland) to the US March 22, 1913; Polish American; Jewish; Father John Michalchik, mother Anny (Greniky) Michalchik; Single; Laborer and Garmet Presser; CP 1932; Received Passport# 400956 on July 14, 1937 which listed his address as 42 4th Avenue, NYC (6 Shilader Street, Peabody, Massachusetts); Sailed July 24, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on August 6, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN; Rank Sargento; Reported WIA Retreats, later reported as Killed in action April 3, 1938, Gandesa, during the Retreats.
