Schembari, Giovanni. (John Schembere, John Schimbari, Chambrai Schember), b. October 31, 1894, Italy; Italian American,Shoe maker and Cook, CP, received passport# 376393 on March 19, 1937 which listed his address as 1430 3rd Avenue, and 69 St. Marks Place, both NYC, 45 yrs. old, Sailed March 31, 1937 aboard the Aquitannia, Arrived in Spain on April 20, 1937, Served with the XII BDE (Garibaldis), 2nd BN, Co. 4, Intendencia and Observer.  Served at Huesca, Brunete, Fatlide, Fuentes del Ebro, Extramadura, Retreats and Ebro Offensive, Returned to the US  on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. 1959.
