December 6 (5), 1916, NYC; Jewish; Father Morris Finkenberg, deceased; Mother Gussie; No prior military service; Education 2 years High School; Single; Salesman; YCL November 1936; Received Passport# 393163 in April 1937 which listed his address as 143 East 16th Street, and 36 Lewis Street, both NYC; Sailed May 1, 1937 aboard the Britannic; Arrived in Spain May 25, 1937; Trained with the Washington BN, Co. 4, and Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Co. 1, sent to the front as a replacement; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 1, later to the 11th Regiment, 2nd Grupo Artillery, 14th Battery (John Brown); Served at Quinto, Belchite, and Extremadura Front; Returned to the US on February 9, 1939 aboard the President Harding; WWII Armed forces; d. March 1974; Spoke Yiddish.
