April 22, 1911, Chicago, Illinois; Jewish; High School education; National Guard 6 years; Single; Photographer and Salesman; CP May 1937; Domicile 10 Shaster, NYC; Arrived in Spain via Setcases on June 15, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; Adjutant Commander at Fuentes de Ebro; Rank Teniente; Served at Fuentes de Ebro, Teruel, The Retreats, Segura de los Baños, and the Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; WWII US Army, remained in the US Army through the Korean War, Captain; d. September 8, 1986, Temple Hills, Maryland, buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia; Wife Gussie Miller Schoenberg.
