October 14, 1908, NYC; No prior military service; High School for 1 or 2 years; Single; Printer and Compositor; CP November 1936, Spanish CP; Received Passport# 402418 on May 1, 1937 which listed his address as 911 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, New York (903 Whitlock Avenue, Bronx, New York); Sailed May 15, 1937 aboard the Georgic; Arrived in Spain via Llansa on June 1, 1937; Trained at Tarazona; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Co. 2, Runner; WIA October 15, 1937, in hospital Reus-Benicasime October 15, to December 5, 1937; Transferred January 31, 1938 to 14th Battery DECA, Fuse cutter and Observer; WIA April 19, 1938; Hospital April 19, 1938 to June 12, 1938, Benicasim, Alcoy, and Benisa until June 12, 1938; Had 13 day leave at Benisa; On July 7, 1938 transferred to Valencia Anti-Aircraft, served there until October 21, 1938; Served at Fuentes de Ebro and Retreats; Returned to the US on February 4, 1938 aboard the President Harding; d. December 19, 1995.
