Turner Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (3431 W. Congress Street, Chicago, Illinois); Sailed January 28, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain in February 11, 1937; Served in Military Transport (XV BDE, Lincolns?); Deserted arriving at the American Consulate in Valencia on February 28, 1937, he left the Consulate on March 10, 1937 in order to attempt to reach France through Barcelona; Returned to the US on August 11, 1937 aboard the Champlain.
