Kark, Horace Lincoln


k-Kark, Horace Lincoln. (Kack); b. March 12, 1916, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; High school education; Single; Knit Goods worker; YCL 1934, unit organizer; received passport# 397512 on April 24, 1937 which listed his address as 4814 North 9th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Sailed May 1, 1937 aboard the Britannic (Statendam); Arrived in Spain on June 2, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; Lincoln-Washington BN, WIA Retreats, 10 March 1938, Belchite, rank Soldado later promoted to Cabo; Killed in action March 1938, during the Retreats,believed captured and executed .
