December 27, 1909, Vitebsk, Belarus, Russia; Russian American; Father Myer Siegel (1872-1950), mother Lena Siegel (1878-1962); Grammar school education; Single; Driver and Clerk; CP November 4, 1934 and YCL (?), DW agent; Received Passport# 6375, New York series, on March 9, 1937 which listed his address as 9 Telegraph Street, Binghampton, New York; Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrived in Spain on March 27, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion in training; First Evacuation Group; XV Brigade, Auto Park, Transport; Served at Aragon, Teruel, and the Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; Wife Ida Siegel.
