Podolin, Isia. (Si); b. September 11, 1910, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Graduated from Muhlenberg College, 1935, with a BA in Arts; Prior military service in the US Army Reserves, Artillery, Rank SGT, 1932-33; Single; Mechanic and Teacher; CP 1934 unit org, YCL; Received Passport# 360232 on January 7, 1937 which listed his address as 315 Penn Street, Camden, New York and 1243 Langham Avenue, Camden, New Jersey (Sicklerville, New Jersey); Sailed January 23, 1937 aboard the Champlain; Arrived in Spain on February 2, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN; Later with Artillery, 11th Regt., 2nd Group, 14th Battery (John Brown Battery), 155mm Guns, Political Commissar of Battery; Returned to the US on February 4, 1939 aboard the President Harding; d. May 17, 1999.
