McCasland, Ivan Virgil. (V. Ivan McAsland); b. July 4, 1914, Tucumcari, New Mexico; Father Jacob Harmon McCasland (1885-1919), mother Amanda Luella Cooper (1885- 1985); High School education, Tucumcari, New Mexico; Single; Laborer; Received Passport# 459662 on July 12, 1937 which listed his address as Box 1123 Tucumcari, New Mexico; Sailed July 21, 1937 aboard the Berengaria; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on July 31, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN in training, later worked in kitchens; Returned to the US on December 31, 1938 aboard the President Harding; d. January 2, 1990, Phoenix, Arizona, buried in Stewart Cemetery, Henderson, Rusk County, Texas; Married Marjorie B. Graham (1919-1984).
Siblings: brothers Marion Stanley McCasland (1912-1920), and Earl London McCasland (1917-1989), sisters Ruth Elizabeth McCasland (1914-1975), Thelma Vivian McCasland (1915-1993), and Dariris McCasland (1918-1920).
