August 26, 1879, Edinburgh, Scotland); Graduated with a BA in 1935, from the University of Rochester; Attended Commonwealth College, in Mena, Arkansas; Single; Salesman and Student; CP 1936; Received Passport# 404270 on May 4, 1937 which listed his address as 204 Thurston Road, Rochester, New York; Sailed May 26, 1937 aboard the Queen Mary; Arrived in Spain via Setcases on June 15, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; KIA January 19, 1938, Teruel; Was a well known track star in college; Father Ralph Field was also in the Brigade.
