July 10, 1916, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Croatian American; High School education; Single; Seaman; Visited the USSR in 1930; CP June 1936 (YCL and CP 1932), Party Literary Agent and Spanish CP; Received Passport# 264630 on April 6, 1936 which listed his address as RFD No. 8, Box 581 and 916 South 89th Street both Warwatosa, Wisconsin; Sailed March 17, 1937 aboard the President Roosevelt; Arrived in Spain on May 25, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN, Co. 3, Plana Mayor; Lincoln BN and Lincoln-Washington BN; Brunete Aid man; Albacete Auto Park as a Mechanic; OTS, graduated February 16, 1938; Served at Brunete, Aragon, and the Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; WWII Armed forces; d. June 16, 1992, Santa Cruz, California.
