February 16, 1908, Bayonne, New Jersey; Austrian American; Jewish; Father Moses Streisand (?-1914); Teacher and Statistician; WPA Teachers Union; CP 1936; Received Passport# 358322 on December 22, 1936 which listed his address as 16 Goerck Street, NYC and 351 North Dearborn, Chicago, Illinois; Sailed December 26, 1936 aboard the Normandie; Served with the XV Brigade, Lincoln Battalion, Co. 1, Plana Mayor; Transferred to Battalion Estado Mayor, Runner; Served at Jarama; Killed in action on February 27, 1937 while emplacing an aviation signal along with Robert Pick behind their trench at Jarama.
