March 28, 1892, Mikkeli, Ital-Suomen Laani, Finland; Finnish American; 8th grade education; US Army 2 years; Single; Ship Painter; CP 1919; Received a US passport on March 13, 1937 which listed his address as New York; Sailed March 24, 1937 aboard the Manhattan; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN in training; Lincoln BN, Co.1, remained with the BN when it merged with the Washington BN; Served at Brunete, Quinto, and Belchite; d. December 26, 1971; Gardner, Worcester County, Massachusetts, buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner, Worcester County, Massachusetts.
