Cofresí Ramírez, Manuel (Neco); b. October 22, 1894 (1896; June 14, 1893), Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico; Puerto Rican; Mother Dolores Ramírez Vda. De Cofresí; Education through the 5th grade; WWI veteran; Married; Professional boxer; Merchant and Soldier; Domicile Bo. Pedernales, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico; CP Puerto Rico 1934, one of the founders; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on August 6, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN; Rank Soldado; WIA Teruel, mortar fragments; He was evacuated to France with other wounded volunteers; Returned to the US on November 5, 1938 aboard the President Roosevelt; Returned to Puerto Rico on November 21, 1938; Permanently disabled by his wounds; d. October 1976, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, buried in the Poblado de Boquerón cemetery in Cabo Rojo.
