Powell Hyde; Married; University of Michigan and 2 years Stanford, 1901-1904; WWI, joined the Canadian Army 1916, served with the 1st Canadian Battalion, France and Belgium 1917-1918, WIA 1917 in Belgium, Rank Private; Author and Clerk; CP 1932, Spanish CP, American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), AFL 1934-1936, ILD 1932-1934; Received Passport# 395408 on April 22, 1937 which listed his address as 8 Tennyson Road, Wilesny Hills, Massachusetts; Sailed April 24, 1937 aboard the Vollendam; Arrived in Spain on May 20, 1937, crossed into Spain by boat; Worked in the Estado Mayor in Albacete with the Servicio de Efectivos, Banco de España; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. 1952, France; Worked in China for 10 years.
