Hourihan, Martin William b. October 13, 1913 (1905) (1907) (1910) (1911), Towanda, Pennsylvania; Irish American; Six and a half years prior military service in the US Army; Single; Seaman and Teacher; CP 1926 (1928) and IWW; Received Passport# 359480 on December 31, 1936 which listed his address as Mobile, Alabama, and Towanda, Pennsylvania; Sailed January 23, 1937 aboard the Champlain; Arrived in Spain on February 2, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN, Co. 2, Section 3, Section Leader; In March promoted BN Adjutant then BN Commander; Promoted to Regimental Adjutant prior to the Brunete Campaign; WIA April 15, 1937 at Jarama and at Brunete while attempting to extricate the pinned Lincoln BN on the first day of the Brunete Offensive; Returned to the US on June 24, 1938 aboard the Washington; WWII US Army Air Force, 307th Air Base Group, HQ Squadron, McDill Air Force Base, Florida, enlisted September 1942 Discharged December 20, 1945; d. December 4, 1995.
