(Matz); b. circa 1917 near Kiev, Ukraine, to the US when he was six years old; Jewish; Prior military service US Army Air Corps as a mechanic, 4 years; Single; Longshoreman; Received passport# 358110 on December 21, 1936 which listed his address as 173 Henry Street, NYC; Sailed December 26, 1936 aboard the Normandie; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN; Returned to the US on August 1, 1937 aboard the De Grasse; WWII Armed forces; d. 1981.
