May 1, 1917, Kiev, Ukraine, Russia; 4 years prior military service US Army Air Corps as a mechanic; Single; Longshoreman; YCL 1936; Received Passport# 358110 on December 21, 1936 which listed his address as 173 Henry Street, NYC; Sailed December 26, 1936 aboard the Normandie; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN; Pulled from the lines in May because of age and repatriated; Returned to the US on August 1, 1937 aboard the De Grasse; WWII Armed forces; Married Estelle Gaylick on June 17, 1943, daughter Anne Katz; Later Married Eleanore Levy, son Elliot Katz, daughters Lisa Katz Keiner, Rachel Katz, and Anne Katz; d. January 27, 1981, Milford, Connecticut.
