Costa, Michael. b. June 17, 1912, Rossiter, Pennsylvania; Italian American; Education 1 year of High school; Single; Artist and Sign Painter; YCL 1930-36 and CP 1934; received passport# 7609 New York series on June 5, 1937 which listed his address as 25 Rhine Street, Rochester, New York; Sailed June 12, 1937 aboard the Georgic; Arrived in Spain on July 1, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, briefly then to 35th (45th) Division, Sanidad, Ambulance driver, rank Soldado; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; WWII US Army, enlisted June 1942, discharged December 1945; d. August 19, 1986, Rochester, New York.
