Schneider, Murray. b. September 14, 1905, Pzemysal, Austria; Austrian American; High School education; 2 years prior military service; Married (Single); Seaman and Driver; CP 1932 (1933) and Socialist Party prior to 1932; Received Passport# 369068 on February 24, 1937 which listed his address as 2725 (2125) Sedgwick Avenue, Bronx, New York; Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrived in Spain on April 2, 1937; Attended OTS up to the Brunete Campaign; Served with the XV Brigade(?); WIA Brunete, light wound, noted as showing cowardice and appeared to have hallucinations while at hospital; Wrote rotten demoralizing material through mail and slandered leadership, mail stopped; Was in Tarazona in January 1938, placed in charge of canteen at Tarazona; Arrested for theft and speculation; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. October 15, 1987, San Francisco, California.
