July 20, 1909, NYC; Father Paul Perlman (1882-?), mother Flora Perlman (1884-1983); Single; Clerk; CP of Spain; Received Passport# 362716 on January 21, 1937 which listed his address as 1941 84th Street, Brooklyn, New York; Sailed January 15, 1938 aboard the Ile de France; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on January 25, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 3; Brigade Estado Mayor, Observer; Later Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Observer; Rank Cabo; Served at Retreats and the Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 31, 1938 aboard the President Harding; Married Polly Norman (1919-2004) on October 5, 1943, in California, children Rick Perlman and Dan Perlman; d. March 21, 1996 (1993), cremated by the Neptune Society and ashes scattered at sea.
