Kemppainen, Orvo William


k-Kemppainen, Orvo William. (Kempi, Orvo); b. April 24, 1914, New Port, New Hampshire; Finnish American; Ecucation into Grammar school; Single; Farmer; YCL; received passport# 451060 on June 25, 1937 which listed his address as 129 Sunapee Street, Newport, New Hampshire; Sailed June 30, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Enrolled in the IB on July 15, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN, later Lincoln-Washington BN; attended OTS but was sent to the front mid-course as a Teniente; Killed in action April 4, 1938, Caspe, during the Retreats.
