April 24, 1914, Newport, New Hampshire; Finnish American; Education into Grammar school; Single; Farmer; YCL (dropped out); Received Passport# 451060 on June 25, 1937 which listed his address as 129 Sunapee Street, Newport, New Hampshire; Sailed June 30, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Enrolled in the IB on July 15, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN, adjutant commander MG Co.; Later Lincoln-Washington BN; Attended OTS but was sent to the front mid-course as a Teniente; Killed in action April 4, 1938, Caspe, during the Retreats.
