February 7, 1894, village of Bougazia, Thrace, Greece, To the US in 1931; Naturalized January 27, 1926, District Court Pennsylvania; Greek American; Father Georgios Michailides, mother Lidia Michailades; Elementary School education; Single; House Painter, Fireman, and Journalist (worked for the CP paper Empros [Forward]); CP 1932, Spartacus Club; Received Passport# 364829 on February 1, 1937 which listed his address as 311 Gaskill Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and NYC (305 South 11th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); Sailed February 6, 1937 aboard the Paris; Arrived in Spain on February 17, 1937; Censura military, Served in Albacete managed mail service for Greek American volunteers; Returned to the US on August 4, 1938 aboard the Manhattan; Moved to Greece in 1946, later moved back to the US; Wife Maria Kozanitos Michaildes; d. August 29, 1960, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, buried in Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood, Pennsylvania.
