September 26, 1918, NYC; Polish American; Father Isadore Kaplinsky (b. 1888, Poland-1925), mother Ida Nemesure (1892-1928); 3 years High School; Single; Hatter; YCL 1937 (YCL-CP 1936 branch finance secretary); Received Passport# 430803 on June 1, 1937 which listed his address as 316 Breeze Avenue, Brooklyn, New York; Sailed June 12, 1937 aboard the Georgic; Arrived in Spain via Setcases on June 26, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; Killed in action October 13, 1937, Fuentes de Ebro.
Sibling: brother Benjamin Hyman Kaplinsky (1915-2000), half-sister Rose Eisenberg (1927-2015).
