Gulstad, Raymond Arthur (Galstad; Gulstadt); b. June 16, 1906, Baldwin, Wisconsin; Norwegian American; No prior military service; Single; Logger and Fireman; IWW, Timberworkers Union; Received Passport# 470536 which listed his address as 903 3rd Fave. So., Minneapolis, Minnesota (1486 Blair Street, St. Paul, Minnesota); Sailed August 18, 1937 aboard the President Harding; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on August 31, 1937; Sent for evaluation and was turned back from the IB; Left Spain September 3, 1937, returned to the US on September 24, 1937 aboard the De Grasse; WWII joined the Army in the Spring of 1941 and was shipped to the Philippines, POW; d. June 7, 1965, Los Angeles, California, buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles, California.
