November 15, 1910, Detroit, Michigan; Attended Cleveland Law School, 1933-34; Single; WPA Office Worker and Clerk; CP May 1937 (1932); Received Passport# 367597 on February 16, 1937 which listed his address as 3815 Division Avenue, Apt. 73 A-6, Cleveland, Ohio (97-15 Almira, Cleveland, Ohio); Sailed February 20, 1937 aboard the Ile de France; Arrived in Spain on March 3, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Washington Battalion, Co. 1, Plana Mayor; Lincoln-Washington Battalion, Co. 1; DECA with a French Battery January-April 1938; Returned to XV Brigade, Lincoln-Washington Battalion, Co. 1; Rank Sargento; Served at Brunete, Quinto, Fuentes de Ebro, Teruel, the Retreats, and the Ebro Offensive; WIA July 8, 1937 at Brunete again on August 24, 1937 at Quinto; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; WWII Armed forces; d. October 30, 1991, San Bernadino, California.
