October 17, 1909, Argyle, Wisconsin; Attended the University of Wisconsin for 2 years; Prior military service including ROTC 4 years, National Guard 6 years; Served with Wisconsin National Guard; Single; Journalist; CP; received passport# 416023 on May 18, 1937 which listed his address as 1023 West Michigan Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Sailed June 2, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, Co. 3;  Killed October 15, 1937,  Fuentes de Ebro.
