Hargrave, Roger James b. April 22, 1911, Clay County, Iowa; Attended the University of Iowa; Single; Student; CP 1936; Received Passport# 378735 (378755) on March 25, 1937 which listed his address as 517 South Madison Street, Iowa City, Iowa; Sailed March 31, 1937 aboard the Champlain; Arrived in Spain on May 5, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN, Aidman working for Dr. Strauss; WIA at Brunete, shrapnel in arm; Repatriated and returned to the US on July 20, 1938 aboard the Champlain; d. June 7, 1980.
