Obriot, Tersil (O’Brien, Tom); b. October 3, 1902, Tunnelton, Pennsylvania; Italian American; Father Daniel Obriot; Elementary education through 8th grade, later attended night school to become an electrician; No prior military experience; Electrician; CP December 1931, member of district committee, SWOC CIO; Received Passport# 495019 on January 26, 1938 which listed his address as 1075 Victoria, Lincoln Park, Michigan, and 17508 Hull Street, Detroit, Michigan; Arrived in Spain via Agullana on February 20, 1938 over Pyrennes; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, MG Co., aid man; July 1938 transferred to 35th Division, Special MG BN, Co. 3, Acting Cabo; Last unit (June 1938) Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 2; Rank Cabo; Served at Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; d. July 5, 1986, Green, Michigan; In 1933 he visited the Soviet Union; Spoke Italian and English.
