Reed, William Allen. b. July 1902, Iowa, Attended university where he studied veterinary sciences, US Marine Corps, 1919-34, 1 SGT, Artillery and Armor, Single, Mechanic; CP July 1936, received passport# 39689 San Francisco series on July 24, 1937 which listed his address as 1838 Steiner Street, San Francisco, California, Sailed August 7, 1937 aboard the Georgic, Arrived in Spain on August 23, 1937, Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Plaza Mayor; Instructor Tarazona(?); last unit Lincoln-Washington, Plaza Mayor, rank Cabo; Served at Quinto, Belchite, Fuentes de Ebro, Teruel and Ebro Offensive, Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris.
