Bassett, William Oliver (Basser; Boudreau, William); b. October 25, 1904, Phoenix, Arizona; Single; No political affiliation; Received Passport# 31393, San Francisco series, on September 2, 1937 which listed his address as PO Box 55, Phoenix, Arizona; Sailed September 25, 1937 aboard the Laconia; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on October 11, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN; Returned to the US on August 13, 1938 aboard the President Roosevelt. In 1942 he was arrested and sentenced on a burglary charge in California; He served five years of a 15 year sentence in Folsom Prison in California; He was paroled in 1948; d.
